Enjoy the secluded and wooded area in our lofted barn on four acres. You can relax with the whole family at this peaceful get-away while only 20 minutes from UNC campus and 15 minutes from downtown Pittsboro.

 

Look for the lamp posts and farm-style red gate to enter “The Mended Wood” property. Follow the lighted path to enter through the red front door which accesses both the house and barn side. The barn boasts an open space with room for storing bikes, fishing gear, and kayaks as well as a workbench with basic bike tuning tools. An air hockey table is ready for a family feud and a loft game space includes foosball, games, and puzzles with a comfortable seating area. 

 

Enter the house side of the property to an open-air, wood-beamed space with a loft. Upstairs, you’ll find a full-sized bed, lighted desk space for work or writing, and a sitting area with a sofa bed, cozy reading chair, and a TV with Roku access. 

 

Downstairs, gather with your family or friends in the large kitchen with ample storage space. The mahogany dining set seats four with space for four more at the adjacent kitchen bar. Pour a cup of coffee and relax in the living area, reading nook with electric fireplace, or under the partially-covered back porch with a wooded view. On rainy days, listen to the rain fall on the house’s tin roof or open an awning window while using the deep soaking tub.

 

In addition to the house loft, there is an additional house-side bedroom and a barn-side bedroom, each with a queen-size bed. An air mattress and pack-n-play are also included to provide additional sleeping space. A washer and dryer are also available.

 

The outdoor firepit and chairs, grill and prep table, umbrella-covered dining table, and large gravel patio are perfect for resting or entertaining as you enjoy the outdoors with access to a wooded path to a perennial creek. Enjoy dinner under the lights of the covered back awning space with a family-style table and chairs.
